Betong spinach rich in multivitamins
“Betong spinach” with bitter green leaves is grown by Chulaporn Development Village 10 Tourism Community in the southernmost border town of Thailand. It is also known as Muk Choy vegetable. Betong’s Chinese spinach have a rather astringent flavour, but rich in natural minerals, vitamins and antioxidants such as beta-carotene and Vitamin C. It has cooling benefits which help detoxifying, relieving dysentery, jaundice and hemorrhoid. The spinach can be added to stir-fries with oyster sauce, or clear soups.
